Northern Nevada Transportation Company Welcomes New First Sergeant

1st Sgt. Eliseo Barreras assumed responsibility of the Nevada Army National Guard’s 1859th Light Medium Transportation Company from Sgt. 1st Class Grant Reimers during a Sept. 12 ceremony at the Washoe County Armory.

Reimers thanked the formation and expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve alongside its soldiers.

Barreras closed his remarks with a commitment to the formation.

“I am fortunate to have the opportunity to lead a formation of young, motivated, and eager Soldiers,” Barreras said. I expect a lot from you, but I promise I will give you everything I have in return.”
